Dr. Steve Martin
Dr. Steve Martin is the Lead Pastor at New Beginnings Church. He, and his wife Lunell, have been married for 32 years and have 4 children and 3 grand children.
Dr. Martin has over 30 years of pastoral experience specializing in Children, Youth, and Christian Education. Dr. Martin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (1990), a Master’s degree in Administration (2010), and a Doctorate in Executive Leadership (2015) from the University of Houston.
Dr. Martin has been credentialed with the Assemblies of God for 30 years. He is also a skilled educator with 29 years of experience in public education both as a teacher and as an administrator. As an administrator at Pasadena High School, Dr. Martin led his teams to develop a climate and culture of excellence that enabled them to significantly increase graduation rates, increase student success, and earn 5 State Distinctions for both 2017 and 2019. Dr. Martin uses his experience as a minister, and administrator, to enlighten minds, to encourage others to grow in their relationship with God, and to serve the community.
